What information do you collect from me?

When you visit our web sites, we do not automatically collect any Personally-Identifying Information about you. We only collect personally-identifying information (or Personal Information) from you when you provide it to us, such as your name, mailing address, and credit card number when purchasing a product or your email address if you subscribe to receive a newsletter. If you communicate with us by any other means regarding our web sites or Tetracurve services, we will collect any information that you provide to us in any such communication. Regardless, we do not ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We cannot stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)

We use analytic and reporting technologies to record Non-Personal Information such as Internet domain and host names, Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser software, operating system types, click stream patterns, and the dates and times that web sites are accessed. To do this, we may use cookies, web beacons and log files as discussed below. Non-Personal Information cannot be easily used to personally identify you.

How do you use and treat my information?

We use personal information primarily for our own internal purposes, such as fulfilling requests for information, producing and shipping the products that you order, and providing customer support. We restrict access to nonpublic information to those employees (if any) who need to know that information in order to provide services to you. Whenever we obtain your Personal Information, we use commercially reasonable efforts to protect it from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, we are not insurers of the security of your Personal Information. Accordingly, we assume no liability for any disclosure of data due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third party access or other acts of third parties, or acts or omissions beyond our reasonable control. Accordingly, we do not store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services and we never store information related to the credit or debit card account that you use to make purchases from our web sites.

Tetracurve will never sell, rent or share your personal information with a 3rd party whether an individual, business, or government entity, especially your email addresses and phone numbers, without your express permission, unless required by law. We will share your Personal Information with other entities should you request us to share such information, or if Tetracurve is required to respond to court orders, subpoenas or other legal process.

We will never spam you. You can read more under the opt-out section below.

We use Non-Personal Information to track the use of our web sites and for other internal purposes, such as providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving our products and services. We may disclose Non-Personal Information, in aggregate form only, to potential strategic partners, advertisers, investors, customers, and others. You may not opt-out of the sharing of this information. However, we will never do so in a manner that could even remotely be individually identifiable.

The content that you store, post, or transmit on or through our web sites may be accessed by other users, including people that you do not know. We are not responsible for the actions of others. Therefore, you should use care in communicating with other users and only disclose your Personal Information to other users that you know to be trustworthy. You should not assume that your content will be kept private.

We may contract with various third parties who help us provide, maintain and improve our web sites and services. For example, we use a third party to process payments made to us, and may subcontract out production, fulfillment, analytics, reporting or other operations. We also contract with several online partners to help manage, monitor and optimize our web sites and to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising, communications and how visitors use the web sites. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent such third parties from disclosing your Personal Information, except for the purpose of providing the services in question. We cannot guarantee that such third parties will not disclose your Personal Information.

Can I opt-out of communications from Tetracurve?

Tetracurve complies with all requirements of the CAN-SPAM federal anti-spam law that went into effect on January 1, 2004. We also use a "double opt-in" process to add subscriber emails to our mailing list. This means that subscribers ask to be on our list either by completing the subscription form on our web site or by contacting the editor via email and asking that an address be added. Upon adding an address to our mailing list, we confirm the request by sending an email message to the subscriber at the address provided.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by emailing us at email@tetracurve.com.
